School Board

The Parish Communities of Holy Trinity and St. Stephen support the Vision, Mission, and Values of Catholic Education.  At Holy Trinity Catholic School, we emphasize Catholic Christian Faith Formation, Academic Achievement, and Character Development.  We encourage Collaboration in Learning between Students, Parents, Caregivers, Faculty, and Staff.

The more traditional model for Catholic school governance originally vested the total responsibility for the parish educational ministry in the pastor. Now, the modern approach recommended by the bishops suggests that the pastor share this responsibility with a board. The existence of a parish board of education does not mean the abdication of authority by the pastor nor permit the administration of the educational programs by the board. Rather, the parish board is a means by which the pastor can share his responsibility for educational policy-making and can benefit from the knowledge and expertise of his parishioners.

Meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:30 P.M.  The location does vary between the Parish Center Meeting Room at Holy Trinity Parish and the Delaney Hall at St. Stephen Parish.  A location schedule will be posted in advance.

School board meetings are open.  All HTCS stakeholders are welcome to attend.  However, the School Board may go into "Closed Session" if confidential matters need to be discussed.

Agendas will be posted 48 hours before the meetings.  Meeting minutes will be posted within two weeks of the meeting. 

The HTCS School Board consists of seven appointed members serving three year terms and four non-appointed members including the Pastor and Principal.  The appointed members may only serve two consecutive terms unless the Pastor identifies special circumstances and requests a board member to continue to serve for additional time.
